New Russian–Finnish Dance Exchange Programme launched!

August 1, 2014

Dance Info Finland together with the Embassy of Finland in Moscow has started a new project, the goal of which is to establish a more intense collaboration between the two countries.

Various activities are planned, such as sharing information and experience with events arranged specially for that purpose, exchange of the professional companies and artists and establishment of the long-term collaboration among the parties interested.

In the first phase of the project the goals are:

  • to find those who are interested in collaboration – in both countries, Finland and Russia

  • to evaluate the possibilities, terms and places for touring, workshops, exchange of choreographers, and open meetings and talks

  • to help dance companies and artists from Finland and Russia to connect with each other.

The first study visit to Moscow and Kostroma (some 300 km North of Moscow), hosting an interesting international contemporary dance festival, will be realized in autumn 2014.

The Russian–Finnish Dance Program 2014–2015 is supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland.
